We are the Houstons. We love Jesus, board games, bike rides, being outdoors, and Rubik’s cubes. Bud and Jessica have been married for 17 years. We have 6 kids; Cash (16), Quinn (13), Cannon (10), Carsen (7), Caris (4), and Kallen (0). We are on this journey of making Jesus known together. What we Do
Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Affinity Leader
We're on a mission to transform lives and ignite a gospel movement in the Muslim World. Our passionate teams are dedicated to not only planting churches and making disciples but also instilling hope among the least reached MENA communities.
Across the globe, a staggering 407,817,000 souls reside in the MENA region. This includes 389 Unreached People Groups and 243 Frontier People Groups. MENA isn't just a part of the Muslim World; it's a powerhouse that influences the destiny of countless Muslim-majority nations. By reaching the Arabic-speaking world, we are setting in motion a ripple effect that can touch the hearts of many for Christ.
Right here in North America, there are 89 strategic priority communities from the MENA Region. Our teams have set their sights on nurturing thriving, indigenous churches on this soil. Our role isn’t not just about recruiting, training, and coaching; it's about personally engaging with the MENA people in DFW, spreading the gospel through deep, meaningful relationships. We're not just changing lives; we're shaping destinies.
What are unreached people groups?
Sometimes referred to a unreached people groups, least reached people groups are cultural and language segments of people that are less than 2% evangelical and don’t have a Christian heritage to connect to. Although, beyond qualifying a people group into this category we also want to prioritize those people groups that have the greatest need, opportunity, and global significance.

Mobilize Prayer and missionaries for church planting among all least-reached peoples in North America
There are a variety of prayer and mobilization resources that accomplish this purpose. One resource, we help steward is UPGNorthAmerica.com. It is a organizational neutral website that identifies and prioritizes the least reached people groups, helps the church see and understand, increases prayer for them, and increases the number of encouraged and equipped workers among them.
Let’s Talk Diaspora Podcast
Join Bud and Rebecca as they have conversations that center around the 281 million people in the diaspora today. While these people may be far from their home, we are witnessing God use believers to share the gospel with them which is resulting in the ends of the earth coming to know and follow Jesus.
What motivates us
We desire to see a multitude that no one can count, "from every nation, tribe, people, and language," rejoicing with God in heaven (Rev 7:9). Many people groups, however, are still unreached with the gospel, lacking churches to spread the hope of Christ within their communities. But God is doing something new! Unreached people from areas with little access to the gospel are moving to cities with Christian populations. Technology allows them to not only stay connected, but also to deeply influence their families and friends back home. Global Gates is driven to spread the hope of Christ through these dynamic opportunities.
